[She's sure if they tried hard enough they'd be able to track each other down, but that might be weird and a little creepy, depending.

[She sounds very sure of that. For one thing, they can easily seek each other out if they need it. For another -]

Compared to where I came from, these places are relatively small. So... it won't be difficult at all for us to run into each other.

It's the exact opposite for me. Everything here is so bustling and lively at all hours... it's night and day from where I was raised!

[Hmm. Well, she supposes it's not terribly surprising - Tokyo's big even by modern-day standards.]

I suppose it's a matter of perspective...

Right! And there's a lot of diversity here, so viewpoints are bound to be different from person to person.

[ He shrugs slightly. ]

I've even met someone here who came from another planet entirely!

Truly? Which planet?

[It was a Martian, wasn't it? There are so many Martians in this game.]

[Haru's eyes go wide.]

That's amazing. Where I come from, nobody has ever been able to confirm whether or not there was life on Mars.

[ He rubs the back of his neck sheepishly. ] It's not something anyone's given a lot of thought to, really.

[ But he came into the world in one of its darkest hours; surely people had bigger, more pressing things on their minds. ]

I suppose we all have other things to think about...

[Which he's probably all too aware of.]

Still, it is fascinating. I'd love to learn more about all of the places that people are coming from, if we ever had the time.

[Some people are cagier than others for privacy reasons, but it's been relatively easy to get people to open up.]

I think perhaps we're all a little homesick. Talking about it helps, though.

Say, Haru -- do you actually think all our home worlds are gone? That The Storm swallowed them all?
